Disable SQL Mail
Posted By n/a on 04/09/2002 7:01 PM Basically, this means not assigning a profile to the Support Services/SQLMail area of EM as of SQL 2K. In olden days SQL Mail was treated differently but its still a pain to use. I don't know why anyone thinks setting up a MAPI profile is a reasonable requirement for sending an email. At least they could provide a SMTP/MAPI selection so we could opt to send mail using standard SMTP. Lets start sending our emails to sqlwish@microsoft.com
