Hello, I am planning to set up an Sqlserver 2K on a DMZ. The Sqlserver will reside on a machine with IIS4.0 and WinNt4.0. I am planning to use MultiProtocol so we can access the Sqlserver from a mchine inside our second FW via ODBC or OLE and have the data encrypted. Q164667 is for Sqlserver 6.5, how do I use for Sqlserver 2K? Q154596 has similar topic. Could I use this? Thanks, yi

Yes, both articles will help you control RPC traffic but might I suggest another option. Have you tried or considered using SSL over TCP/IP sockets? This will let you control the TCP port number easily (change it to whatever you like) and you not need to worry about dynamic port allocation and the complexity of registry changes etc to facilitate the encrypted link.
