Howard, Levy, and Waymire. Designing Secure Web-Based Applications for Microsoft Windows 2000. Microsoft Press, 2000. Is a great starting point which you can supplement with information from this site or the Hacking Exposed:Windows 2000 book from Osborne Press which should help you with Windows 2000 configuration as well as SQL Server. Be aware that I am biased since I was a contributing author for that book. Chip
