Hi,

As SQL security events are written to the application event logs, I'm looking for a solution that centralizes and analyzes them for exceptions in a similar way that tools exist for the security event logs.

Any suggestions?

Cheers.

Windows event log tools are everywhere but I'd look into the free tools such as Log Analyzer (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&familyid=8cde4028-e247-45be-bab9-ac851fc166a4) and elogdmp (http://www.windowsitpro.com/Article/ArticleID/25996/25996.html) to get the data out first.

You can always look into commercial solutions if you find the free stuff doesn't meet your requirements.
