Unfortunately I am not aware of any SQL 2008 scripts - although Microsoft did a very good job of configuring most settings that were recommended in the SQL 2000/2005 scripts hosted here previously.
I would focus more on items like making sure you are not in mixed mode, enabling logging of successful/failed logins, and severely restricting which users are sysadmins.
Outside of that - let them come. I'd be interested in hearing about what they didn't like.
